"It's exciting, isn't it? Our little warrior is going to do so well as a parcel. I dare say she could work for a lord as prodigious as Rove Austra someday! Ha, can you imagine a Myrt living in the Sky Hall?" ― Myrt Calvia

Myrt Calvia is a side character in Origins Stories, introduced in Killerjoy. She is an immigrant from Sepperlin now living in the colony city of Carver in Dirthe.

She is a doting mother of three and cares and worries for them a bit too much. She has a high reverence for both the Gentina and the Lords. Regardless of how corrupt either might be.

Appearance

Calvia is a short, stout woman with thick arms and a surprising strength to her.

History

Early Life

The Myrts are from Sepperlin. They came to Carver and haven't looked back since, well all but Calvia haven't looked back since. Ashen and Kerrigan worked for Delmontpelier working on the rails which is where they met Attle Bowman. Cary became a Rover and traveled along the Spine. Shortly before the start of the series, he went missing on special mission for the Gentina. His disappearance put the entire Myrt family - or rather, what remained of it - in an emotional tailspin.

After Cary disappeared, Ashen decided she would take part in the Parcel Exams in the hopes of becoming a parcel. Calvia was immediately proud of her decision and boasted proudly of it. Kerrigan was less so, and in a desperate attempt to prevent his sister from leaving, he brought Attle over to try and talk her out it. He meets with Calvia very quickly who was writing a letter to the Gentina, most likely asking for help in finding her son.

Attle eventually moved in with the Myrts. Shortly before Ashen was due to depart, she asked Attle to take care of her mother, and not Kerrigan. The day of her departure, the Myrt family was arguing. Attle was there, but he didn't hear the argument and left to deal with something else. Kerrigan left Carver shortly after Ashen, in pursuit of her. Maybe to protect her. Maybe to bring her back home entirely. Either way, Calvia was alone.

Demaro Jun came calling to try and find information on Attle, after learning that he had been living there. Calvia was convinced he'd gone off to follow Ashen. She believed him quite the romantic. She did give Jun the round given to Attle by Pen Marten.
