The Sano are a group of warriors from Joal who distrust the use of mettle, going as far as to hunt down and kill all those who use it. They work for and answer to General Absalom Wren. Their hatred of mettle brings them so far as to call mettle users within their own country "purists" as if to mock them. The Sano's signature weapon is the pure-edged blade.
